Corporate and Workplace Breathwork

(online or at your place of work)

Breathwork is the perfect workplace wellness strategy, as it addresses core areas of health, physical, mental and emotional, in a simple, accessible way. With an ever growing body of scientific researchto support the benefits of participating in regular breathwork sessions, employees will feel more relaxed, have more energy, and feel better about themselves, as well as learning skills to manage daily stress. Additional benefits of a balanced nervous system, include improved communication and team building as well as reduced absenteeism.

Everyone suffers from stress, whether it's hidden inside as elevated blood pressure and digestive issues, or whether it's more obvious. The list of symptoms is extensive and many of them people wouldn't actually recognise them as signs of stress; left ignored they can lead to illness and more serious problems. Long term stress results in reduced performance whilst at work and more time off work partly because it reduces our immune system function. Stress limits us in a myriad of ways that impact our daily lives and those we live and work with. Most people are so used to living in a stressed state that it's become the new norm, yet simple breathwork strategies can make a big difference and clients often notice those differences quickly .

Using breath as the focus, makes it much easier for many people to access the meditative states that support feelings of calm in body and mind.  When we bring in the Conscious Connected Breath (see online offerings below), then breathwork becomes an accelerated meditation programme. The state of "relaxed aliveness" can be reached which is an optimal for work, study and daily life.

Benefits of breathwork sessions include:

  • More energy

  • Improved ability to problem solve and creativity

  • Enhanced mindfulness and focus

  • Relaxation

  • Reduced blood pressure

  • Improved sleep

  • Reduced anxiety and depression

  • Reduced pain

  • Improved heart rate variability

  • Toned vagus nerve

  • Increased resilience

  • Nervous system regulation (measurable drop in Cortisol levels)

  • Stronger immune and digestive systems

  • Greater ability to manage emotions

  • Increased ability to handle stress

Deborah teaches breathwork and supplies support materials, including a recommended app and has created guided audio resources, so that breathwork strategies can be used when needed.  These skills can then be utilised on the way to work, during the work day or on the way home to de-stress.

Whether staff are in an office sitting at a desk in an office, or working from home, they simply need internet access to attend online group sessions.  The effects are cumulative, so the more these techniques are practiced, the more profound the changes so regular sessions are recommended. Regular sessions encourage and motivate employees to keep up the homework, and to keep building their resilience.

Online sessions are a low cost, low maintenance support to staff wellbeing, that will make a significant impact quickly.

I was lucky enough to attend a 1-hour Introduction to Breathwork session led virtually by Deborah through my employer. I have a fulfilling and demanding job which is largely desk-based, and juggling the demands of work and family mean I have little time for myself. Within just 1-hour I was moved by Deborah’s story, I’d built my own knowledge on the physical and mental effects of breathing on our bodies, and I’d personally experienced several techniques that were transformative in that moment. After the session I felt calmer and more focused, and Deborah generously shared a number of practical resources which I am putting to great use already.

This was a great way for me to reconnect with my body …taking a break from my responsibilities and worries, and focusing solely on breath. Deborah is well-educated in breath practice, and provides evidence and helpful explanations to support her practices. Her gentle manner and invitations to participate in the techniques make for a comfortable and safe environment to learn and experience the power of the breath.

Online or in person sessions

1 hour session to immerse in all 3 kinds of Breathwork:

  • Mindful breath

  • Coherent Breathing (coherent breathing is the natural breathing rate to let your nervous system find regulation and balance).

  • Conscious Connected Breathing (conscious connected breath gently builds energy and allows your body to let go of tension)

  • Neural Exercises. Somatic practices to improve vagal tone - quick techniques for use anytime any place to combat stress and soothe the nervous system..

The techniques can be learnt and practiced sitting  or lying down.

Sessions also include the underlying scientific principles behind each practice. Sessions can be longer for those who wish to include more science and a longer journey with the Conscious Connected Breath.

Sessions can be booked as a one off or a series. They can be small intimate groups with camera on, or larger groups where participants can choose to have camera on or off.

Working with Deborah was incredible from start to finish. The actual process of booking, the workshop itself, and the care and follow up we received afterwards - truly one of the best practitioners our company has ever worked with. Our team was amazed by Deborah's teaching and practice, where she expertly and gently weaved history, science, and spirituality for an elevating experience like no other. And her soothing voice guiding you through breathwork is such magic! Would love to work with her again!
